New Horizons is proud to announce that Vader was named Reserve Grand Champion Pleasure Yearling and won first place yearling pleasure stallion at the 2007 AHR National Futurity, was 2nd place yearling pleasure stallion at the AHR National Show, and was Grand Champion Yearling and 1st place pleasure yearling stallion at the GLHA Futurity! He was also 2nd place yearling stallion at the Buckeye Haflinger Show in June!
 
 "Vader" is one of the most incredible-moving Haflingers we have ever seen! With outstanding movement on both sides of his pedigree, Vader takes our breath away with his impulsion from behind, elevation and extension up front, and suspension! (Upon seeing him, several dressage trainers/riders remarked that he looked and moved like a warmblood.) On top of that, Vader's beautiful, large, kind eye, excellent conformation, length of leg and neck and excellent head set all attract attention.
 Vader is out of the outstanding mover and two-time National Champion pleasure stallion, Arno van het Neishof. His dam, Moxie NTF (now deceased), is out of one of the best-moving mare lines in the breed. This cross has produced a number of exceptional-moving horses over the years, and Vader is no exception!
Vader is proving to have a very willing attitude and good work ethic. In his round pen training he is very eager to please and tries hard to do what is asked of him. He is a pleasure to work with as he is very well-mannered--a true gentleman!
Vader's clean bone, refinement and stunning copper color earned him second place in an extremely competitive yearling class at the 2007 Buckeye Haflinger Show.
A very forward moving colt, Vader overtracks a foot or more at the walk. (We documented some of his longest strides at 15" as a yearling!) Because of Vader's athleticism and natural self-carriage, we think that he is destined for greatness, and eagerly await his inspection and future career as a dressage horse and breeding stallion!
